Compliance Team Lead – Carrick-on-Shannon
Our client, an innovative financial services company are seeking a Compliance Team Lead to join their growing team in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim on a Full-Time permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with management and play a role in the design, development, management and oversight of the Company's Compliance Management Framework. The position would suit a person experienced in Compliance ideally with experience within the financial services sector who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a growing organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the compliance team responsible for companies' compliance queries.
2. Submit reporting requirements to third-party service providers as required.
3. Oversee the quarterly reporting to partner companies and the complaints process.
4. Review and update both the Internal company policies and policies provided to Credit Unions.
5. Complete the Annual Due Diligence.
6. Contribute to the development and improvement of the compliance framework for the company.
7. Provide oversight, monitoring, and independent challenge of processes to ensure compliance with policies.
8. Identification of emerging changes to legal and regulatory requirements.
9. Providing reports to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) on ongoing activities and identifying on-going improvements to the compliance framework.
10. Performing any other reasonable task assigned by the CCO.
11. Work collaboratively as part of a great team to contribute to overall project goals.
The successful candidate should ideally have the following attributes:
12. A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a monitoring or compliance role in a financial services organisation. A relevant qualification would be a distinct advantage.
13. Experience managing or leading a team.
14. Knowledge of Irish financial services' regulatory framework, legal and regulatory requirements would be an advantage.
15. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
16. Excellent interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
17. Ability to work with initiative and as part of an agile team and independently within a team environment.
