We wish to employ an experienced Painter to join our Engineering Team to attend to all painting jobs within the Hotels.
General Duties
The Painter will be required to:
* Attend to all painting jobs within the Hotels.
* Stain/paint timber work.
* Complete all assigned tasks in a timely, safe, and professional manner, with minimal disruption to guests and staff.
* Report to Maintenance Manager if stock levels are low for all items required to complete tasks.
* Take instructions from the General Manager & Maintenance Manager and observe jobs which need to be done, ensuring all bedrooms, corridors, public areas, etc., are maintained to company and guest standards.
* Liaise and assist all departments regarding painting issues, especially housekeeping, reception, and food production areas, to ensure timely completion of work and promote good working relationships.
* Keep all areas of work, storage, etc., clean, neat, and organized at all times.
* Clean and touch up painted surfaces throughout the Hotels.
* Maintain all brushes and rollers in good condition.
* Use all safety precautions at all times when using tools, chemicals, ladders, and other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
* Handle and report any accidents immediately, no matter how minor.
* Respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
* Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by management.
* Liaise and maintain good relations with all departments by responding promptly to problems and service breakdowns.
* Provide hands-on skills to ensure systems such as electrical, sewage, plumbing, heating, and lighting are maintained in good working order, and any defects are corrected promptly.
* Ensure all areas are maintained in a safe condition and take immediate action when unsafe conditions arise.
* Monitor energy consumption and develop an energy awareness culture within the property.
* Manage service contracts including mechanical and electrical services, fire protection, lifts, building repairs, and energy supplies.
* Ensure all services are maintained to a high standard in line with company policy, without compromising safety and comfort.
* Complete all checklists and reports within the required deadlines.
* Attend meetings and training as required.
