Role Overview:
This pivotal role involves leading a high-performing team of five Billing Analysts, ensuring seamless billing operations and maximized collections.
As the key bridge between senior Finance stakeholders and client-facing legal teams, you will drive process optimization and strategic initiatives to achieve meaningful results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership and Performance: Lead, coach, and mentor Billing Specialists, manage team structure, and workload allocation, and drive a performance culture centered on key financial metrics.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic escalation point for Partners and Fee Earners, collaborate with Legal Administration to enhance reporting and support, and advise on client fee structures and forecasting processes.
* Billing and Process Excellence: Lead financial reviews, ensure data integrity, solve complex billing issues, and introduce automation and tools to drive office billing KPIs.
* Cash Collection and Lockup Management: Guide credit control strategy, aged debt recovery, and ensure adherence to firm-wide billing policies and standards.
* Analytical Skills: Analyze WIP trends to identify and resolve inefficiencies, champion end-to-end lifecycle improvements, and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication.
Essential Experience and Skills:
* At least 4-5 years' experience as Billing Manager or similar role.
* Strong team leadership and coaching capabilities.
* Proficient in SAP, Concur, and e-billing platforms.
* Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI.
* Knowledge of Irish VAT regulations.
