Project Manager | Sector : Education |Location: Cork | Salary: Competitive + Benefits A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of this high-value, Public Sector project.
This is a pivotal leadership role for a proven professional who can drive programme, cost, quality, and safety performance from pre-construction through to handover.
About the Role You will lead the full lifecycle delivery of complex construction projects including residential apartment schemes, commercial office developments, educational facilities, and life sciences builds.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and senior leadership, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project delivery from planning to completion and client handover.
Manage programme performance, procurement schedules, resource planning, and contract administration.
Oversee cost control, forecasting, and reporting to senior management.
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
Ensure full compliance with statutory and company Health & Safety requirements.
Collaborate with HSEQ teams to embed a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Manage audits, inspections, and all project documentation.
Requirements Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager within the construction sector.
Demonstrated success delivering complex projects across residential, commercial, education, or life sciences.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, commercial processes, and contract management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project, Asta, Procore, or similar.
Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and relevant site certifications.
