Working with limited supervision, you'll ensure every aspect of your work meets strict quality standards and compliance. Program, set up and operate 3/4/5 axis machines (FANUC, HAAS, Doosan, DMG Mori), EDM wire & Die sinker, manual lathe, manual mill, and surface grinder. Machine a variety of materials to create precision tooling, fixtures, moulds, and prototypes. Analyse specs, determine required tools and equipment, and apply material expertise and machining strategies. Interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches, or non-dimensioned CAD models to plan and carry out efficient, high-quality machining. Ensure machined parts meet all dimensional, surface finish, and functional standards. Choose the best, most efficient machining methods without compromising quality. Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. NFQ Level 7 engineering/toolmaking trade qualification; 5+ years' experience. Medical device experience preferred. Strong CNC programming skills for complex prototype work. Multi-axis machining experience required. Proficient in 3D CAD & CAM (Solidworks, MasterCam, SolidCAM or similar). Experienced in 3D machining. Skilled in machining titanium, stainless, tool steels, ESD plastics, ceramics, engineering plastics. Tool and fixture design experience is a plus. Mould making/maintenance and EDM experience desirable. Strong time management, planning and execution skills. Works well as part of a team or equally as an individual contributor Candidate must have strong communication skills and will be required to interact with customers, suppliers and external vendors Quality focus is essential.
