Proactive measures include the development and implementation of planned maintenance regimes. This involves evaluating process capability, determining calibration requirements, and implementing effective preventive maintenance for tooling and test equipment.
The maintenance fitter is responsible for ensuring overall equipment performance (OEE) in each department and advocating for continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing tools. They also support supervisors on technical issues, put in place permanent solutions, and lead project teams in developing new processes.
Maintenance technicians collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. They develop and maintain knowledge of new developments in maintenance practices and procedures, thereby ensuring continuous improvement in maintenance standards.
