Project Cost Manager

The Project Cost Manager will assist in managing project costs and financial efficiency, ensuring value for money. This role involves cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and monitoring expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Activities:

* Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets.
* Support the management and monitoring of project costs to ensure compliance with established budgetary frameworks.
* Contribute to the procurement process, including the preparation and review of contracts, tender documentation, and subcontractor agreements.
* Measure, value, and certify works completed on-site.
* Prepare and maintain accurate records, including cost reports, valuations, and payment applications.
* Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, variations, and claims.
* Support the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
* Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
* Good problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills and proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying tools.

Requirements:

* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* Knowledge of Irish construction practices, regulations, and standards is desirable.
* Relevant work experience through internships, placements, or part-time roles in the construction industry is an advantage.
* A full, clean driving license is preferred.
