Tax Senior Associate - Partner Designate | Leading Law Firm | Dublin The Client Our client is a leading Irish law firm with a strong and well-established financial services practice, particularly in the investment funds space.
The firm advises a wide range of domestic and international fund structures and is currently investing in the strategic expansion of its tax function following the appointment of a new Head of Tax.
The Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to join the firm at Senior Associate level, with a clearly defined pathway to Partnership within 6-12 months.
Historically, the tax function has operated as a lean, two-person, partner-led team.
With a new Head of Tax in place, the firm is now focused on building out the tax department, creating an accelerated route to partnership for the right individual.
In the short term, the role will focus on advising a diverse financial services client base, while longer-term there is scope to help shape and grow the firm's broader tax offering.
Key Responsibilities Advising on a wide range of financial services tax matters, with exposure to multiple fund structures Working closely with the Head of Tax on the development and expansion of the tax department Acting as a senior technical and commercial point of contact for clients Contributing to the strategic direction and future growth of the tax practice The Ideal Candidate Strong Financial Services tax background (funds experience essential) Corporate tax experience would be a strong advantage and may accelerate progression to equity Operating at Senior Associate / Counsel / Director-equivalent level Commercially minded with an interest in building and leading a practice Clear ambition to progress to Partnership in the short term Interview Process Initial informal coffee meeting Followed by a 2-3 stage interview process, depending on seniority All applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
