Responsibilities
The home care nurse will provide clinical services to patients effectively and compassionately, maintaining high standards aligned with best practices. A key aspect of the role includes maintaining accurate electronic patient records and delivering reports promptly after each visit to clients and head office. The nurse will work as part of a team, utilizing clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure seamless service delivery, liaising closely with the nursing director and the multidisciplinary team.
This is a full-time role, based on a specified purpose contract (~12-15 months).
Key Competencies
* Cannulation & Phlebotomy Skills (Essential)
* Demonstrable IV therapy experience, including care of central venous access devices
* High self-motivation and evidence of personal and professional development
* Effective administration skills with strong attention to detail
* Good time management skills
* Proficient computer skills in Word (preferably Microsoft Office) and email
* Excellent communication skills, able to present to multidisciplinary teams
* Ability to build rapport quickly with new contacts
* Flexibility and adaptability to change
* Ability to work independently while valuing team collaboration
* Good sound judgment
