It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities. Businesses managed by the NTMA include the State Claims Agency, the New Economy and Recovery Authority (NewERA), the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and the National Development Finance Agency. The NTMA also assigns staff to the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA), the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI). See for more details. Future Ireland Funds The NTMA manages both the Future Ireland Fund (FIF) which aims to ensure steady and long-term support for state expenditure from 2041, and the Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund (ICNF)which is designed to bolster state spending in response to economic downturns or to fund environmental initiatives between 2026 and 2030. The Funds were established in 2024 and currently have over €10 billion of assets, and are expected to continue to grow over the coming years. The NTMA has established a new business unit, the Future Ireland Funds, to manage the FIF and ICNF and is seeking suitable candidates for a number of key roles. This role sits within Portfolio Construction and Operations team within the Future Ireland Funds team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investment data analytics/MI solutions, data quality and governance, as well as portfolio management, investment research other related activities in the broader FIF team. The successful candidate can expect to work with investmenton datasets across all aspects of the team's functions and the role will require the candidate to work positively and collaboratively among a wide team of investment professionals. All members of the Future Ireland Funds team are required to remain flexible to respond to the dynamic nature of the mandate - this may require team members to apply their skills outside of their core areas of responsibility, from time to time. Principal Accountabilities The candidate will be required to work alongside all colleagues across the full range of the Future Ireland Funds' investment and operational activities. The principal responsibilities will include: Analysis of complex investment data sets to support the management of the investment portfolio Support implementation of the Funds' investment strategies, relating to ongoing research, asset allocation and portfolio design Provide advanced reporting and analytics capabilities in the format of dashboards, statistical analysis, and models Manage the ingestion, validation and reconciliation of investment data sets from external third parties Assist with the creation of appropriate data governance processes and procedures Compile, review and reconcile periodic reports as part of regular reporting processes. Deal with ad-hoc information requests from a variety of stakeholders within the FIF and NTMA Lead the in-depth analysis of data quality issues presenting in financial data from different sources. Present analytical findings to all levels of management as required. Supporting the Portfolio Construction and Operations team in meeting the associated deliverables across Finance, Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit Assisting the wider FIF team with queries and tasks as required Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders Essential Knowledge and Experience The ideal candidate will: Have a third level qualification in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; qualification in Analytics and/or CFA designation would be beneficial. Knowledge & experience working with investment products, performance measurement methods and related data is essential. Knowledge of techniques involved in financial modelling, portfolio construction, data management, data quality and analytics processes. >3 years' investment industry experience working with financial software and tools (e.g. PowerBI, Bloomberg), alongside advanced excel / analytical skills. Experience in production of a variety of portfolio in dashboards and reportings. Demonstrate a keen and well-informed interest in the funds' investment process and in further developing knowledge and expertise in this area. Experience in dealing with a multiple asset classes across public and private markets would be advantageous. Experience across operational aspects of fund management is desirable.
