Principal Clinical Engineering Technician – Clinical ICT
The Physics Service for delivery of radiation oncology services in Dublin is delivered by a network model.
The position is available at the following locations:
SLRON at St. Luke's Hospital, Dublin
SLRON on the site of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin
SLRON on the site of St. James's Hospital, Dublin
The incumbent will be expected to attend from time to time at locations other than his/her designated location.
The department is engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and has an active clinical trials group.
The role supports safe and high-quality radiation therapy across the network.
As a member of the Clinical Engineering team within the Physics Department the Principal Clinical Engineering Technician will provide Clinical Engineering and Radiation Therapy (RT) ICT services.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing Clinical Engineering and RT ICT services to support safe delivery of radiation therapy.
Managing image transfer, storage and chart access across the three sites.
Supporting the paperless environment via the Oncology Information System hosted on a hyper-converged infrastructure (VMware, Citrix, VXRail, Veeam).
Collaborating with clinical users to ensure user access and data integrity.
Occasional onsite visits to secondary locations.
