It is one of the most remarkable historical estates in Ireland dating back to 833 A.D.Purpose Of The JobThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the hotel, including the upkeep of guest bedrooms, function rooms, front and back of house areas, buildings, grounds, and hotel equipment. This role involves planning and scheduling maintenance activities and responding promptly to maintenance related emergencies.The Maintenance Manager ensures a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests and staff by protecting and maintaining the hotel's assets through effective preventive maintenance programs. The role also ensures that all mechanical and building systems operate efficiently and in full compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and all applicable local regulations and statutory requirements.About The RoleMain Duties & Responsibilities:Creating maintenance schedules and delegating tasks to team membersCarry out maintenance and repair work on the property.Scheduling contractors for major repairs as requiredStaying on-call and responding to emergency maintenance needsDeveloping maintenance budgets, hiring maintenance crew and negotiating vendor contractsControlling and monitoring inventoryConducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacingComplete urgent emergency repair work as soon as it arises.Taking a part in managing heath & safety in the hotelEnsuring adherence to applicable laws by meeting with government and insurance inspectors and performing follow-up as requiredRequirementsPrevious experience in hotel or facilities maintenanceStrong knowledge of HVAC, electrical and general building maintenanceFamiliarity with property management or maintenance tracking systemsAbility to work under pressure and manage emergenciesA good knowledge of Health and SafetyEmployee BenefitsMeals on dutyEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Recognition AwardsTeam Member Accommodation & F&B discounts in Windward Management propertiesComplimentary parkingReferencesAll employment offers made are subject to a valid work permit and us receiving a satisfactory referenceAbout Windward ManagementBallymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is managed by Windward Management.
