The Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Specialist to support the delivery of sustainable, high-performance projects, with a strong focus on the data centre sector. The successful candidate will lead and contribute to whole life carbon assessments, sustainability certifications, and regulatory compliance across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Whole Life Carbon (WLC) analyses for building projects, particularly data centres.
Use One Click LCA software to model, analyse, and report environmental impacts.
Interpret and apply EU Taxonomy requirements to ensure project compliance and reporting alignment.
Support delivery of sustainability certifications including LEED and BREEAM.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to optimise environmental performance from early design stages.
Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and client presentations.
Advise on low‑carbon design strategies, material selection, and circular economy principles.
Stay up to date with evolving EU regulations, standards, and sustainability frameworks.
Contribute to internal sustainability knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or related field.
3+ years of proven experience in Life Cycle Assessment / Whole Life Carbon analysis.
Strong working knowledge of One Click LCA (essential).
Familiarity with EU Taxonomy and sustainable finance frameworks.
Experience working with LEED and/or BREEAM certification processes.
Understanding of construction materials, building systems, and embodied carbon.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Desirable (Highly Preferred)
Experience working on data centre projects.
Knowledge of EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) and carbon databases.
Familiarity with additional frameworks (e.g. GRESB, CRREM, Net Zero Carbon standards).
Experience integrating LCA into BIM or design workflows.
