The Compliance Documentation Officer shall:Write and update clear, concise and accurate policy and procedure documents in collaboration with the management teamCollaborate with stakeholders to identify document improvement opportunities and process improvement opportunitiesReview operational documents and make suggestions to enhance the accessibility of our documents through use of Plain EnglishDevelop process maps of key organisational processes to embed in procedure documentsComplianceThe Compliance Documentation Officer shall ensure that policies and procedures promote compliance to external standards and obligations and deliver accountability. This will be achieved by:Ensuring documents are in compliance with regulations, legislation and sector best standardsConducting research to gather information and identify documentation gapsIdentifying key controls within procedures and, in collaboration with risk team, cataloguing those controlsTraining and EducationIn order to ingrain better document writing and practices in the organisation, the Compliance Documentation Officer shall:Train staff and managers on policy and procedure writingDevelop learning materials to cover document writing and process mappingRelationship ManagementEffectively manage key relationships both internally and externally in a way that enhances the quality, sustainability and reputation of Dublin Simon CommunityInput to the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager reports and prepare regular reports and updates as required.Protect and champion the vision, mission and values of Dublin Simon Community, internally and externally in all service activities.Ensure all stakeholders are communicated with effectively in an appropriate and clear manner.Person SpecificationEssential:The ideal candidate will have a degree or post-graduate qualification in a discipline such as English, Communications or related field or equivalent experience working in any of the following settings: Process Mapping/Technical Writing/Project Management/Compliance/ Regulatory.Strong project management, organizational skills to coordinate work plans, multiple tasks, prioritise work, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information in audience-appropriate formats with attention to detail, accuracy and presentation.Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders in a constructive and approachable manner, collaborating closely with Risk & Compliance team colleagues and interacting with colleagues of all levels of seniority across the organisationExperience developing and copy-editing organisational documentationDemonstrated team player and creative problem solverExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
