Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute maintenance and repair tasks for automated equipment and systems.
* Perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
* Enhance maintenance routines through continuous improvement.
* Carry out timely repairs when failures occur.
Equipment Maintenance:
* Mainly involving Automated storage and retrieval system, Printing and Labelling equipment, Conveying systems, Mechanical lifting/de-stacking machines, Fridge and freezers, Building services and facilities including HVAC systems.
Task Coordination:
* Coordinate electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, also pneumatic control systems.
* Schedule and perform PM routines effectively.
Team Support:
* Support the Production Team in achieving production targets.
* Update and use handover procedures, complete handover sheets, and relay contents to Engineering Managers and incoming shifts.
Performance Monitoring:
* Closely monitor line and machine performance, intervening promptly when any decline in performance is detected.
* Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
* Exercise initiative in identifying and addressing faults, taking action based on best judgment.
* Participate in training and development for cross-skilling and job-related competencies.
* Update the maintenance management system with records of all changes, stores transactions, and work completed.
* Troubleshoot using PLC programs.
* Ensure completion of planned work, daily input of works, parts booked from stores, and control of breakdowns.
* Undertake any other task within capability as determined by the Company.
Maintenance Objectives:
* Meet matrix targets and KPIs determined by Internal customer Safety.
New Equipment Installation:
* Complete installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Support Validation team in completing equipment validation.
* Specify and recommend new equipment for installation or replacement.
Facilities Systems and Equipment:
* Support the Facilities team in preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical/electrical equipment associated with a semi-automated warehouse.
Standard Operating Procedures:
* Create engineering procedures for equipment under their responsibility.
Quality Execution:
* Execute all work in accordance with relevant quality systems.
