Job Title: Duty Manager Location: Waterford Salary: €32,000+ depending on experience Introduction We are currently seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join a well-established 4-star hotel in Waterford.
Reporting directly to the Deputy General Manager, the Duty Manager will work closely with department heads to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all outlets.

Responsibilities Support Heads of Department across all outlets, assisting or covering supervisory shifts as required.
Oversee and coordinate hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service are consistently delivered.
The Duty Manager will manage daily food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth service and team efficiency.
Monitor the reservations system to maximise space and drive revenue opportunities.
The Duty Manager will lead daily morning briefings when on shift, ensuring clear communication across departments.
The Duty Manager will handle guest queries and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
Assist with staff recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
Support the creation and enforcement of policies, departmental KPIs, and operational targets.
Assist with cost control across food, labour, and overheads.
Requirements Previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience within a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask under pressure Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Flexible to work a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Knowledge of reservations and property management systems is desirable.
