Director – Health\Public Sector Advisory
Seeking a senior delivery and client-facing Director to scale healthcare and education infrastructure advisory capability, with an initial focus on leading complex live pursuits while building a sustainable pipeline.
Must-have: Senior leadership in Irish public sector capital programmes (healthcare or education)
Highly desirable: System-level exposure linking estates, workforce, and relevant topics such as digital health.
Candidates are welcome from a variety of backgrounds including consulting, public sector delivery bodies, state agencies or comparable infrastructure leadership roles. The role requires a strong commercial mindset, including originating and shaping opportunities, leading client accounts, and supporting Partners in converting strategic pursuits.
The successful candidate will build external profile in healthcare and education infrastructure through senior stakeholder engagement, existing network, thought leadership and market presence.
Core Profile Requirements:
Deep experience in healthcare infrastructure and capital delivery, including acute hospitals, elective care facilities, community and primary care infrastructure.
Experience in health estates strategy, capacity planning, capital investment prioritisation and delivery governance.
Complementary experience across education infrastructure, including schools and further/higher education estates and capital programmes.
Strong understanding of the Irish public sector capital environment, Public Spending Code, governance, procurement and approvals processes.
Ability to translate policy, clinical and operational requirements into deliverable infrastructure solutions.
Proven Track Record in Programme & Project Leadership
Extensive experience leading capital programmes, projects and portfolios within complex public sector environments.
Strong capability in business case development, programme governance, assurance and delivery controls.l
Clear evidence of delivering outcomes across cost, schedule, risk and service capacity.
Client Leadership & Business Development Support
Trusted advisor to senior health and education sector stakeholders including executives, programme directors and estates leaders.
Proven ability to deepen client relationships and identify follow‑on opportunities from delivery work.
Supports Partners in bids, proposals, frameworks and account development.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across programme management, capital planning, governance and infrastructure delivery.
Coaches and develops managers and consultants, building high‑performing delivery teams.
Acts as a recognised healthcare infrastructure SME within the firm.
Ideal Experience:
Strong understanding of how clinical models of care, workforce planning, digital health and estates interact to shape sustainable health systems.
Experience delivering programmes in live healthcare environments and politically sensitive contexts.
Education Infrastructure Exposure
Experience supporting education capital programmes, estate assessments and long‑term investment planning.
Understanding of education sector governance and demographic‑driven capacity planning.
