Proven expertise in handling regulated industries with sensitive personal information is essential, while experience in education will be an advantage. This role involves advisory, planning, and oversight services for data migration activities associated with the clients’ major system replacement project.Main ResponsibilitiesConduct a comprehensive Data Landscape Assessment.Develop a robust Migration Strategy.Ensure data quality, cleansing, and preparation.Provide ongoing Technical Advisory and Oversight.Assist in Risk, Security, and Compliance measures.Facilitate Documentation & Knowledge Transfer.Engage in Project Governance & Reporting activities.Key Requirements7+ years of experience as a Data Specialist.Strong background in enterprise-scale database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).Expertise in data migration frameworks (ETL/ELT).Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).Proven ability to develop and validate data models and schemas.Experience in public sector consultancy or regulated environments.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.Nice to HaveExperience in formal documentation for governance boards.Ability to conduct training sessions for internal teams.Other DetailsThis role requires 1 day a week onsite in Trim Co Meath; the remainder will be remote work.
