OverviewJob Title: Women National Team Assistant Kit ManagerLocation: RemoteDirect Reporting Line To: Women Team Operations ManagerCommencement Date: ASAPDuration: Casual employmentThe PositionThe Women National Team (WNT) Kit Manager is responsible for ensuring their team has the required training, leisure, travel and matchday kit, along with equipment and other supplies, for all international activity. You will be working closely with another WNT Kit Manager, FAI Kit Room Team and International Department Team Operations. Your main role will be to work directly with the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team in camp, ensuring the teams kit requirements are to the highest international standard by delivering the key responsibilities outlined below.The WNT are typically active in at least six (6) FIFA windows during a calendar year, including UEFA matches (Nations League and Championships), and international friendlies. Additional activity can include UEFA Euro Finals and FIFA Women’s World Cup upon qualification. It would be an expectation that the successful candidate would be available for the required activity dates and before and after the camps to prepare for and pack up after the activity.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all operations before, during and after the camp align with the directives provided by the International Operations Department.Work closely with the Women’s National Team Kit Manager to ensure all team kit requirements for the team are met.Work with the FAI’s Kit Room team to assist with determining both annual, and camp by camp kit requirements.Assist in identifying requirements for match kit name blocks and numbers. Communicate to the Kit Room Team in advance of each camp.Ensure the team have the necessary training, leisure, travel and match kit for each campEnsure any required training equipment is available to the team, in conjunction with the coaching and Team Operations staffAssist in managing the access control of the kit room ensuring strict security measures are in place at all timesAssist in managing the in-camp kit room and ensure the timing and efficient distribution and return of kit on a daily basis.Coordinate laundry in camp with the team hotel or outside providerAssist in managing all stock within camp, ensure accurate records are keep of what gear is distributed on a daily basis and ensure all gear is returnedAssist the kit manager in the in-camp kit printing operation with a particular focus on match kit (names, numbers, sleeve badges & match specific detail) ensuring that all kit items are appropriately branded.Assist in drafting and implementing a day-by-day kit plan to ensure uniformity among players and staff.Have a detailed understanding of UEFA and FIFA kit and equipment regulations to ensure the correct gear is worn at all times in competitionConduct regular quality control checks on kit and equipment during camp. Ensure no items are distributed to players damaged or missing FAI, kit manufacturer or sponsor branding.Be aware of, and adhere to, UEFA, FIFA and FAI requirements regarding commercial partner brandingAssist, where necessary in the set up of the team dressing room and coaches’ room ahead of all home and away fixturesLiaise with coaching staff to assist with the setup of equipment for training sessionsAssist the Team Operations Coordinator in the preparation of all team equipment freight for away fixturesAssist in developing logistics plans for travel and match daysAttend backroom team meetings as requested by the Team Operations Coordinator or Head CoachEnsure all gear has been laundered, folded, and packed away into kit bags properly post campAll other duties that may arise from time to time and fall within the scope of the roleThe PersonThe successful candidate will have the following:Experience RequiredExperience working with kit/logisticsExperience working within a football environmentExperience working in high performance environmentsExperience working in fast paced environmentsKnowledge of UEFA/FIFA kit regulationsExperience working in Women’s Football (Desirable)Abilities, skills and knowledgeExcellent time management and planningComputer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Microsoft suite)An ability to form successful relationships with internal and external stakeholdersProven ability to work independently and show initiativeProven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a teamHigh attention to detailFlexibility according to seasonal demandsClosing date for applications is COB 18 September 2025.Shortlisting will take place shortly afterwards.The Football Association of Ireland is an equal opportunities employer.
