About The Post
We are looking to appoint an exceptional Literacy specialist Teaching Assistant to join our highly successful Literacy department and SEND team at The Grange School. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic group of colleagues who are passionate about inclusion and achieving the very best for our students. Improving student literacy skills is a key priority for our school to improve the life chances for our students.
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
Support the teaching of literacy for children with identified literacy difficulties or needs.
Promote a love of reading and share a passion for literacy
Improve children's life chances by raising literacy attainment levels
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

Who We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you:
Have a minimum 5 of GCSEs (A-C), including Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications/grades (e.g. NVQ Level 2).
Hold a relevant Level 7 qualification in specialist assessment or hold a current SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate.
Are an inspirational and skilled professional
Have a passion for literacy and a love of reading
Have experience working in schools to support students
Have experience assessing for and coordinating exam arrangements
Are driven by the power of education to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged students
