Role Overview

The role sits within an Innovation & International Research (IIR) Team, supporting research, innovation, and international collaboration to advance Ireland's energy system decarbonisation. The post reports to the Programme Manager for IIR and involves working with technical and analytical experts across SEAI and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Support International Energy Agency (IEA) activities
, including:
* Day‑to‑day management of the IEA Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP)
* Coordinating the annual TCP Participant Appointment Call
* Leading dissemination to maximise programme impact
* Developing and implementing programme improvements
* Contribute to delivery of a Sustainable Research & Implementation Strategy 2026–2030
* Provide project management support
for commissioned research and EU‑funded activities
* Support the company's role as National Contact Point for Horizon Europe Cluster 5 (Energy)
* Represent them
at national and international events and committees
* Work flexibly
during peak activity periods

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

* Degree/
NFQ Level 7 or higher
in Engineering, Science, Economics, or an energy‑related field
* Min 3 years' relevant experience
in an energy‑related area or research programme administration/management
* Experience working in
multidisciplinary teams
and managing projects with diverse stakeholders
* Strong understanding of energy technologies
and national/EU energy policy
* Excellent communication skills
(written, verbal, presenting, public speaking)
* Well‑developed IT skills
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Desirable

* Postgraduate or PhD qualification
* Experience managing funded research projects or working in research consortia
* Experience conducting
technical analysis of energy technologies and systems
* Experience delivering
knowledge‑sharing, capacity‑building or innovation‑impact activities
* Experience in
customer‑focused service delivery
