Overview
ATG are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager (Structures) to join a Galway team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering structural projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a senior role, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise in structural engineering, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple structural projects simultaneously, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and cost control.
Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee the preparation and review of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
Monitor project performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on all projects.
Mentor and guide junior project managers and project engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
Professional accreditation (e.g.,
Chartered Engineer
status, Engineers Ireland membership) preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years' experience managing structural projects in a senior capacity.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural design, and project management processes.
Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and structural design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla).
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of sustainable building practices and modern construction technologies.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
