Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for Senior Quantity Surveyors, based in our Cork, Dublin & Waterford Offices with some flexibility to work from home on an agreed schedule. Responsibilities include managing cost planning and reporting, procurement management, implementing cost management practices, and maintaining accurate cost control throughout the lifecycle of projects. You will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure efficient financial outcomes and compliance with project specifications.
Essential Requirements
* Education:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying
* Membership or eligibility for membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., SCSI, RICS).
* Experience:
* Minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying within the Irish construction industry.
* Proven track record in managing construction projects from inception to completion, including cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
* Familiarity with Construction Contracts, Development Agreements and associated forms.
* Ability to manage procurement strategies and ensure compliance with public sector requirements.
* Other Competencies:
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of construction law and contract conditions.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Desirable
* Knowledge of sustainability and green procurement practices.
* Knowledge of ICMS principles and reporting.
* Advanced skills in cost management software (e.g. CostX, One-Click).
* Experience in undertaking energy efficiency and energy upgrade projects.
* Experience in undertaking life cycle and carbon assessments.
