We are a welcoming, family-run guesthouse in Tubbercurry, Co.
Sligo, and we are seeking an experienced Front of House Assistant to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and can confidently manage daily front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting and assisting guests with a warm, professional manner
Handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest queries
Managing phone, email, and online bookings efficiently
Ensuring smooth daily operations of the reception and dining area
Supervising and supporting a small team when required
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest areas
Handling payments, invoicing, and basic administrative tasks
Assisting with breakfast/evening service where needed
Evening bar and restaurant shifts.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar front-of-house or hospitality role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Proven ability to manage or oversee a small team
Comfortable using booking systems and basic IT tools
A positive, guest-focused attitude with attention to detail
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy holiday periods
