Sport Ireland established the Local Sports Partnership (LSP) Network as an initiative to create a national structure to co-ordinate and promote the development of sport and participation at local level. LSPs aim to increase participation in sport and physical activity by breaking down barriers and increasing numbers of people participating and ensuring continued participation through all stages of life.
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council is looking to fill the role of Sports Marketing & Information Officer within Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership on a permanent basis and is now seeking applications.
The Sports Marketing & Information Officer will be responsible for marketing and communication campaigns to increase engagement with audiences and stakeholders, to raise profile and increase awareness of programmes, education and services. Funding for the role of Sports Marketing & Information Officer has been secured through Sport Ireland. Reporting to the LSP Coordinator, this individual will oversee marketing and awareness raising of sport and activity in the County, building the brand of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership and reaching out to the local community through all media channels. This individual will be a key interface between the public, sports staff and our other key stakeholders including Sport Ireland.
