Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Healthcare Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Cork City. This role will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately transcribe medical documents and correspondence with speed and precision.
* Provide front-line reception service, managing telephone inquiries from the public, service users, and healthcare professionals in a professional manner.
* Schedule appointments and manage clinic bookings effectively.
* Process, correct, and validate data to maintain accuracy and completeness.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR standards while handling sensitive service user information.
* Maintain manual and computerised filing systems, ensuring records are securely stored and easily retrievable.
* Provide clear information, guidance, and administrative support to service users and the multi-disciplinary team as needed.
* Perform any other duties commensurate with the position as assigned by management.
Requirements:
* Fast and accurate typing skills with experience in Dictaphone beneficial.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong telephone and reception skills, with a polite, professional, and patient-focused manner.
* Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
* High attention to detail when handling records and documentation.
* Ability to work independently, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance department efficiency.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
