Overview
Caretaker / Groundsperson at the St Oliver Plunketts GAA Grounds. This is a developmental opportunity; no experience is required. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Duties
* Clubhouse Maintenance: painting and general upkeep, sweeping, weeding and cleaning of yard area, carrying out minor repairs, interior and exterior maintenance.
* Grounds Maintenance: playing fields, all-weather pitches and parking areas; cleaning, grass cutting, lining and marking out of playing fields; preparation of pitches for matches; litter control and trimming of hedges and border areas.
* Operate ground maintenance machinery, strimmers, mowers and ride-on mowers.
Requirements
* No experience necessary; however previous experience in a similar working environment may be advantageous.
* Training will be provided for the job role. Other additional training is available if required.
* This role is ideal for a person who is willing to do varied work both indoors and outdoors and who is willing to progress.
* Full driving licence preferred.
Eligibility
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department. To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
