This role will provide support to Generating Engineering to fulfil the role ofProject Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) on a number of projects in various phases of planning, development and construction. The role will also provide mentorship and support to existing staff undertaking the role.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with Engineering and Major Projects design teams / external Contractors to ensure design coordination has been carried out effectivelyIdentify hazards arising from the design or from the technical, organisational, planning or time related aspects of the project. Where possible, eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks.Communicate necessary control measures, design assumptions, or remaining risks to the PSCS so that they can be dealt with in the Safety & Health Plan.Ensure that the work of designers is co-ordinated to ensure safety.Prepare a written Safety & Health Plan for any project where construction will take more than 30 working days or 500 person days or where there is a particular risk.Prepare a Safety File for the completed structure and give it to the Client.Provide support and mentoring to newly appointed PSDP's within the companyComplete lessons learned exercises to drive improvements within the PSDP process within the businessSupport any PSDP competency evaluations that need to be completed both internally and externallyKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum 5 years experience in a Construction or Health & Safety role, with a minimum of 3 years experience in undertaking the PSDP role on capital projects.Experience of Generation Utility Construction to include Solar farm projects, Thermal projects or Onshore & Offshore Wind Farm ProjectsMinimum Level 7 NFQ in Health & Safety / Engineering or similar disciplineProject Supervisor Design Process TrainingDesign experience in the Generation or utility businessBase Location: Dublin or CorkHybrid working will be a feature of this role, combining remote working with attendance at base for in-person collaboration 1 days per week subject to ongoing review.Hours of work: 08:30 – 16:45Working days: Monday to Friday.
