BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking a permanent HR Generalist/People Consultant for its People Services team. The role acts as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to People Managers, providing guidance on workforce management, HR policies, and organisational effectiveness.
The Role
As a People Consultant you will support managers through complex people processes, foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement, and serve as the first point of contact for workforce management and HR policy advice.
Work Arrangement
This is a fully on‑site role. Occasional remote work may be considered in the future, limited to one day per week, subject to business needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers with guidance and support for complex workforce management and HR policy advice.
Proactively plan and implement strategies to upskill new People Managers and provide support to experienced Managers.
Use discretion and sound judgement to determine the best method of resolution for HR matters.
Identify proactive HR interventions and people practices to support local business objectives using diagnostics and data.
Ensure that the workforce and leaders understand People processes.
Partner and support business groups to enable the development and implementation of One BMS culture.
Support the HRBP in engagement, build capabilities to drive organisational performance, and recommend solutions to identified issues.
Coordinate seamless end‑to‑end delivery of global priorities and lifecycle processes, advocating for improvements that enhance the customer experience.
Support and drive Change Management plans for incoming and settling functions, partnering with business leaders to prepare and support people to adopt change.
Partner with the HRBP and global Centres of Excellence to roll out global programs and processes smoothly.
Monitor compliance with BMS policies and seek appropriate counsel; promote diversity as a competitive advantage.
Ensure HR practices and policies align with Irish employment legislation and update contract templates as needed.
Support the Employee Relations culture on site with the Employee Relations teams, HRBP and local leaders.
Research, problem‑solve and respond to issues requiring a site HR perspective, working closely with PS colleagues, HRBP and COE.
Collaborate within the HRBP to drive improvements and consistency for key HR processes across Ireland.
Lead and participate in site‑specific or regional/global People related projects as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required
Minimum of 6 years HR experience, preferably in an international matrixed environment and a manufacturing site.
HR or Equivalent Degree Qualification.
Extensive experience as an HR business partner or HR Generalist with strong leadership skills and experience working with multi‑functional teams.
Exposure to employee relations issues and cases.
Demonstrated success in influencing senior management decisions.
Business & Analytical Acumen with problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
Data literacy and ability to frame and communicate storytelling based on complex data.
Experience with organisational efficiency and intelligence in understanding culture dynamics.
Proven track record in developing employees and managers.
Ability to flex across cultures, complexities and business partners.
Strong continuous improvement mindset with proven results in transforming employee experience.
Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies to influence new ways of thinking and working.
Excellent English and written communication skills, including delivering clear presentations and communications.
Analytical abilities, root‑cause analysis and capacity to manage multiple competing tasks and priorities.
Ability to build networks with stakeholders such as employees, HR partners, managers and business leaders.
Experience coordinating and supporting projects.
