Due to continued growth and development we wish to recruit a Laboratory Assistant to join a our team based in Drogheda, Co. Louth.Main tasks:Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements including PPE usage.To perform work as allocated to the highest quality standards to meet the ISO 17025 standard.As a member of the team, to ensure the laboratory areas are kept clean and tidy, especially designated areas.Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner with due regard and in compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times with respect to customer information.Work with speed and accuracy to complete within customer timeframe.Carry out equipment and instrument calibrations as required.Take samples between laboratories as required.Assist in the preparation of analysis in the laboratory.Set up workstations in advance for the Lab Analysts with samples in place, glassware set out and labelled, samples weighed etc.Assist in the preparation of media, media QC, autoclaving media and waste, preparation.Assist with any customer and colleagues' requests, taking calls, answering emails promptly, answering the door, etcKeep the chiller room tidy and organised and do purges to ensure there are no delays for Lab Analysts searching for samples.Continual housekeeping and cleaning in the laboratory.
