Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rectify any maintenance issues within the hotel on a daily basis
* Liaise with external contractors to ensure all maintenance issues are resolved
* Develop and implement an efficient planned prevention maintenance system for all critical equipment
* Monitor and control costs across all areas, including energy efficiency
* Conduct regular hotel inspections to identify maintenance requirements
* Ensure all maintenance contracts are up to date and that servicing of equipment takes place as agreed
To ensure guest safety, we eliminate potential risks and hazards. This includes checking and recording the fire detection system weekly, performing fire door, emergency lighting, and bell tests weekly, and recording these activities.
We prioritize health, safety, and fire regulations, adhering to the Tifco Fire Safety Matrix. Additionally, we plan and implement departmental training, assist in recruitment, selection, and appraisal of maintenance team members, and participate in daily, weekly operation meetings.
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience as a Maintenance Assistant, with trade qualifications or experience (e.g., electrical/plumbing) being advantageous. High attention to detail and standard focus are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong people skills, communication, and listening skills are also required.
