On behalf of our client, a leading specialist contractor in the civils and utilities sector, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Dublin.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a key commercial leadership role, supporting the delivery of complex projects across the business.
You will be responsible for safeguarding the commercial health of high-value projects, managing risk, maximizing profitability, and developing a culture of contractual awareness.
Responsibilities Reporting to senior management, your role will be comprehensive, managing all commercial aspects of projects from inception to final account.
Prepare and manage internal cost/value reports, risk registers, and variation trackers.
You will manage project costs against budgets, identify commercial risks, and drive value engineering exercises to maximize revenue and reduce costs.
Lead the procurement, negotiation, and management of all subcontractors and suppliers.
This includes preparing contract documents, processing payments, and negotiating and agreeing on final accounts.
Take charge of all contractual matters, including processing claims, managing change control, and ensuring all contractual notifications are issued correctly.
You will be the lead for measuring, pricing, and negotiating all project variations.
Act as the commercial point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal departments.
You will attend monthly management meetings, report on commercial performance, and assist in the guidance and development of junior surveyors.
Requirements Sector Experience: Demonstrable experience in civils, drainage, or utilities (water & electricity) is essential.
A minimum of 10+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or an equivalent field.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
A full, clean driver's license.

Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
A strategic mindset with excellent attention to detail, capable of working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
