The successful candidate will support the NTA Transport Regulation Directorate as part of the Business Systems Planning section. Testing will include but is not limited to working with the Transport Regulation Directorate in the rollout of technical solutions for licensing, compliance and clamping processes. Core testing activity will focus on the development of the bespoke CABS licensing system but may be extended to other departments as required. The individual must be reliable, have strong communication skills, and contribute positively to the team to maintain high levels of employee, customer, and client satisfaction.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities specific to all NTA Service Deliverables:
Core Testing Duties
* Review system specifications and create test scripts based on the changes outlined.
* Conduct walkthroughs and training for business and other testers as required
* Review/maintain user acceptance test scripts.
* Identify data for testing.
* Participate in user acceptance, integration, and regression testing.
* Run test scripts for web or mobile applications.
* Analyse test results
* Use NTA DevOps for the repository, reporting and tracking bugs, and providing updates on resolving bugs.
* Raise defects and track them until closed.
* Consult with the business analyst to analyse complex requirements.
* Report issues to test lead.
Change Management
* Support system deployment by completing smoke testing at go live.
* Close liaison with the project team to raise/retest deployment issues.
* Draft release notes and training materials
* Liaise with business teams during testing and rollout
* Provide training and support to end users.
* Participate in project and team meetings.
* Have familiarity with best practices & standards.
* Data cleansing tasks (ongoing, sporadic, project-based)
* System security: supporting administrative tasks
* The role may also include reporting and quality roles for other departments as required. Duties will be assigned on an availability basis, and may include but are not limited to:
Quality control
* Quality checks and audits
* Quality administration across all service providers
* Quality checks - grants, licensing administration, calls
* Process development and maintenance.
* Scripts and template maintenance
* Feedback and 3rd party liaison
This is not a definitive list and other duties maybe added on an Ad hoc basis
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes/ skillsets;
* Leaving Certificate and/or FETAC 5 Skills Certificate or greater
* Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with strong time management skills
* The ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environment
* Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines in an efficient manner
* Successful Candidate should be proactive and have excellent organistional skills and attention to detail
* Lead by example and demonstrate SGS values is critical
* Experience working on NTA existing service deliverables an advantage
* Have the confidence to take responsibility for achievement of objectives
* Strong Learning Capabilities
* Fluency in both written and spoken English – excellent documentation skills required
* Strong Computer Skills & general PC Proficiency
