Job Title: Guest Services Manager
Description: Our client, a highly regarded 4-star hotel in Carlow, seeks an experienced Guest Services Manager to lead their front office operations. As a key member of the hotel team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing reservations, and ensuring seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the front desk team to deliver outstanding guest service, both in person and over the phone
* Manage reservations and maximise room revenue through effective upselling techniques
* Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and proactively
* Supervise staff scheduling, timekeeping, and performance management
* Ensure compliance with all financial procedures, health & safety regulations, and hotel SOPs
* Liaise with housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
* Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a hotel environment
* A natural leader with a customer-first mindset
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in front office systems and booking platforms (training provided if needed)
* Passion for delivering high-quality service and leading by example
