EPS has an immediate vacancy for a
Stores Manager
for its regional office & store facility based in
Ballyhaunis Co Mayo.
Key Responsibilities
* Proven ability to manage stock inventory, stock records etc
* Ensuring optimum level of stock is maintained to satisfy client requirements
* Conducting negotiations with key suppliers and securing best commercial terms
* Meeting with suppliers representatives to secure quality product and service
* Ensuring customer orders are processed in a timely manner for both over the counter sales and goods outwards delivery
* Ability to co-ordinate & manage a highly computerised stock management system
* Lean concepts, i.e. focus on process improvements
* Responsible for Health and Safety within the warehouse
* Point of contact for ISO stores audits
* Lead a team performing all material handling activities at goods inwards, picking, packing and shipping
* Main contact with in and outbound freight companies on a day-to-day basis including invoice reconciliation, and for tendering freight contracts
* Compliance with various regulations such as: EHS, ISO
Key Competencies And Skills
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Proven ability to implement and optimise processes for operational efficiency
* Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to support decision-making
* Ability to manage budgets and drive business development initiatives
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices
* Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools
Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years experience managing a stores facility or similar environment
* Familiarity with Municipal, Industrial, and Commercial markets in Ireland
* Experience in Lean Business processes would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office Suite
* Knowledge and experience of safe Manual Handling
* Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus
* Forklift licence is desirable
* Be able to demonstrate that you have completed Logistics or People Management programs.
