Key ObjectiveTo identify and convert new business opportunities within the international and domestic association conference market for The Convention Centre Dublin. Proactive role focused on seeking out and driving growth across new business and existing client accounts.Key ResponsibilitiesHybrid role, responsible for identification of prospective clients predominantly within international association market, with an element of domestic focus. Mapping and developing out key relationships across client ecosystem, leading to qualified brief generation and sale.Development of long-term client relationships through proactive sales activitiesUndertake full and thorough research to establish potential market sector growth areas for new businessPreparation of detailed and creative presentation documentation showing how The CCD can help client achieve event goalsEngaging in client meetings, both locally and abroad, to drive the business of The CCDInfluencing client decisions, through effective negotiation and excellent customer focus, to win new business to achieve targets of over €1 million. Targets subject to business budget need year on year.Negotiation of contractual terms with clients and contract management.Responsible for management of client relationship of assigned accounts, before during and after events.Effective planning for future sales activities based on agreed KPIs and to meet individual target.Accurately recording and documenting client activity and forecasting information in Momentus (CRM) to allow for business planning, and in accordance with agreed processes.Comply with the Policies and Standard Operating Procedures of The CCD.Undertake any other duties / projects as reasonably requested by line manager.While primarily focus will be on the association market, the role holder may be required to support other markets or shift weight of focus per business needs.Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post holder will be expected to perform other such duties that reasonably comparable; adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies; maintain a safe working environment and ensure your work activities are safe.Person SpecificationExperience within a client focused business development and sales roleMin 2-3 years' experienceA proven track record in maximising sales & achieving individual targetStrong negotiation and influencing skillsAn ability to self-motivate and be proactiveStrong time-management and organisational skillsStrong team-working skillsA commitment to delivering excellent customer serviceExcellent interpersonal skillsInnovative and creative approach to sales generationExperience or familiarity with public sector or associations a plus, but not essential All doneYour application has been successfully submitted
