Overview
We are seeking an experienced Trade Surveillance Analyst to join our EMEA Compliance team, based on the Dublin or London trading floor.
This role focuses on market abuse surveillance and the enhancement of our surveillance framework.
You will work closely with Trading, Technology, and Compliance teams to ensure our surveillance systems are robust, risk-focused, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong market abuse experience who is keen to play an active role in shaping and improving surveillance controls within a fast-paced, Trading environment.
In this role, you will:
Build a strong understanding of desk structures and trading strategies to deliver risk-based and commercially aware surveillance
Review and triage surveillance alerts, investigate potentially suspicious activity, and contribute to reporting of STORs where required
Develop, enhance, and update surveillance rules to improve effectiveness, reduce false positives, and ensure alignment with regulatory developments (e.g., MAR, MiFID II and related guidance)
Partner with Technology and Trading to prioritise and implement surveillance enhancements, including performing UAT and improving alert data quality and system logic
Support the ongoing maintenance of the surveillance framework, including documentation, system issue resolution, and cross-jurisdictional coverage where applicable
What we're looking for
Experience & Skills
Approximately 3+ years' experience in trade surveillance, with a strong focus on market abuse
Strong working knowledge of Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and MiFID II
Desirable
Experience investigating market abuse typologies (e.g., spoofing, layering, momentum ignition, insider dealing)
Experience in rule development, calibration, or optimisation within a surveillance system
Familiarity with listed products including derivatives
Experience working closely with trading teams
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess trading behaviour in context
Detail-oriented with a structured and methodical approach to investigations
Strong written communication skills, particularly in drafting clear investigation summaries and regulatory reports
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced trading environment
Collaborative team player with the confidence to engage constructively with traders, technology teams, the Compliance colleagues and senior stakeholders
