Lead Mechanical Engineer (Milan) We are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work for a Tier 1 M&E Contractor on a large Date Centre Project in Milan, Italy.
They will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating all mechanical engineering and commissioning activities on assigned projects.

Responsibilities Lead and manage mechanical engineering, design management, and commissioning activities Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and company engineering procedures Coordinate procurement support including technical reviews, RFQs, and subcontract scopes Oversee system design reviews, equipment selection, technical submittals, and BIM coordination Manage testing, commissioning, FATs, SATs, and system walkdowns Track system completion, snags, documentation, and O&M deliverables Identify and support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives Provide technical input to project planning, risk management, and commercial discussions Mentor and develop junior engineers and support continuous professional development Requirements Third-level qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering 10+ years relevant experience, including 3+ years in a lead or managerial role Experience in data centre and/or pharmaceutical projects preferred Strong technical leadership and problem-solving capability Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities Proactive mindset with a focus on quality, safety, and delivery Benefits Salary €70,000 - €90,000 DOE.
