We are looking for a reliable freelance AV Technician to support our events at Set Theatre in Kilkenny, Ireland. The role involves overseeing on-site audio, visual, and basic lighting setup to ensure smooth technical delivery throughout the event.
This is a four-hour commitment, once or twice a month, but could lead to other opportunities in the future, as we host events across Ireland.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the sound requirements. Guest entrance music and wireless microphones.
* Set up the projector and make sure our speaker's slides are working correctly.
* Manage simple stage lighting (e.g., scene presets, basic adjustments).
* Run checks before each event to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
* Provide live technical support throughout the event and troubleshoot issues quickly.
* Liaise with our event staff, speaker, and venue staff to meet technical needs e.g. some of our speakers may have videos with sound in their presentations
Requirements:
* Proven experience in live sound.
* Practical AV skills, including projector operation and troubleshooting.
* Basic knowledge of stage lighting systems and controls.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced event environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, professional manner.
