As a Stores Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's procurement and inventory management processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the procurement process for all hotel departments, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
2. Overseeing inventory control and stock management to minimise wastage and optimise inventory levels.
3. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
4. Monitoring and analysing purchasing trends, supplier performance, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.
5. Collaborating with department heads to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
6. Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory transactions.
7. Leading and motivating a team of purchasing and store staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a hospitality or related industry.
2. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
3. Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
4. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
5. Effective leadership and team management skills.
6. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
