Manufacturing Engineer About the role: Our Galway based client are now hiring a permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.
The successful candidate will provide daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals along with develop and implement manufacturing business improvement projects and processes.
Hours of work: 8am-4.30pm mon-thursday 8am-3pm Friday Benefits: Healthcare, pension and up to 31 days holidays Responsibilities: Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical issues on machines and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain and update technical documentation for equipment and systems.
Collaborate with engineering team to implement solutions that enhance equipment reliability.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs on Pragma system.
Provide technical support and guidance to technical operators.
Maintain a spares management system to track usage and reorder parts efficiently.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and availability of spare parts.
Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize machine availability and performance.
Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Qualifications and Experience: NFQ Level 7/8 in a Technical Discipline (Science, Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.)
OR trade qualified with 3 years working in an engineering capacity Minimum 2-5 years experience working at an Engineering level,ideally in Medical Device industry or other highly regulated environment desirable.
Project Planning/Management experience highly desirable.
