Description Overview
Sourcing Manager opportunity - 12 month Fixed Term Contract to support a critical tech transfer project. Your primary role will have responsibility for the delivery of a shift in contract manufacturing partners to support our consumer branded and healthcare business in Europe. In this role, you will work to create global contracts with strategic suppliers for key materials.
Scope of the Role
* Monitor an external contract manufacturing supply portfolio.
* Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
* Engage with the business to understand their requirements and source vendors pre-emptively.
* Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
* Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and tendering.
* Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.
* Ability to create and maintain tools across Excel, Power BI and present on Power Point.
* Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
* Cooperate with internal stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
* Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
* May be required to determine quantity and timing of deliveries and monitor forecasts.
* Driving a “culture of quality” with in-scope suppliers.
Experience Required
* Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or equivalent experience.
* A minimum 4 years proven work experience as a sourcing manager or procurement manager in, preferably Cosmetic, FMCG, food or vitamins environment in the past five years.
* Must be able to work across all functions and levels of an organization, as well as in a global, culturally diverse environment.
* Exposure to project management and process implementation.
* Experience working with Contract Manufacturing or OEM.
* Familiarity with cosmetic regulations would be advantageous but not essential.
* Proficient in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management in SAP / Ariba or similar
* Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
* Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
