Overview
Field Based Solar PV Quality Assurance Inspector (SEAI Better Energy Homes Schemes) – KS N Energy. The role involves reviewing and assessing works installed by registered Solar PV (SPV) contractors on residents’ homes under SEAI grant schemes, primarily in the West of Ireland. The goal is to ensure works conform to high quality specifications and SEAI Code of Practice and Standards.
Responsibilities
* Carry out inspections on properties after works are completed, in accordance with the SEAI Code of Practice, Standards and Specifications.
* Accurately complete inspection documentation, whether on paper or electronic devices.
* Meet targets set by scheme management; regular performance reviews apply and failure to meet targets may result in disciplinary action or contract termination.
* Provide energy advice/guidance to applicants on the scheme.
* Provide technical guidance to colleagues, and to contractors registered to complete works under the scheme.
* Deliver customer service in line with the agreed code of practice and quality standards.
* Manage and fulfil appointments with homeowners through the helpdesk.
* Conduct follow-up activities and administrative duties (outbound calls, emails, paperwork, etc.).
* Attend training courses as necessary; complete requests as instructed by scheme management.
* Adhere to the KSN Energy Code of Conduct and the rules and regulations in the KSN Handbook.
Essential Requirements
* FETAC Level Six qualification in a construction-related discipline/trade (Electrician/Engineering).
* Excellent knowledge of electrical installations, particularly Solar PV works.
* Pleasant, friendly manner with ability to work in a team environment.
* Good technical skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Full, clean driving licence.
* Ability to comprehend, capture and interpret basic customer information.
* Strong judgement and ability to manage difficult customer situations.
* Ability to adapt to changing demands of KSN Energy/SEAI strategy.
* Dependability; ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for actions.
* Quality management; ability to promote and improve quality.
* High level of motivation.
