The Role:
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and highly organised Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of engaging and stimulating activities designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine residents' interests, needs, and abilities.
* Develop and execute a monthly activities calendar tailored to our residents' preferences.
* Facilitate group and individual activities, ensuring they are accessible to all, including those with physical or cognitive limitations.
* Manage activity budgets and resources effectively.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation pertaining to resident participation and activity outcomes.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff to optimise the impact of the activities program.
* Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or social care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for older people.
* First Aid certification is a plus.
* A background in healthcare, social work, or event planning is advantageous.
