Responsibilities
Ensure production welding and material traceability is recorded daily, entered to databases, and verified.
Perform welding inspections on high‑purity stainless steel piping systems using the latest technologies and techniques.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure the integrity of all piping systems.
Maintain accurate records of all welding activities, including weld logs, inspection reports and other documentation.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Perform on‑site audits.
Ensure the project‑specific quality plans are implemented.
Ensure 100% visual inspection of completed welds.
Ensure piping Test Packs and supporting records are produced and completed to the project standard for turnover.
Co‑coordinate NDT % testing of site welding.
Co‑coordinate with the construction team system walk‑down and snagging ahead of pressure testing.
Audit and sign off weld logs and weld maps, inspection, and NDT for turnover.
Person Specification
Background in quality inspection (highly desirable).
Welding experience (highly desirable).
Background in pharmaceutical or semiconductor.
Ability to read and understand P&IDs and isometrics.
Ability to use tracking software such as EIDASafe pass.
Manual handling – valid IPAF/MEWP.
At least 3–5 years’ experience within the field.
Must have high‑purity pipefitter experience.
