Manager, The Extension and Youth Case Management, Dublin
Location: Dublin
Contract: Full Time, Specific Purpose contract
The purpose of this role is to manage our Youth Day Services (Extension) and Youth Case Management Service (YCM).
The Extension Service is a youth drop-in centre and often the first contact point for young people accessing homeless services.
It aims to be a 'place of change,' supporting quick pathways out of homelessness.
The Youth Case Management Service supports *****-year-olds throughout their journey, coordinating care across internal and external services from entry to exit.
What you will do:
Work within Focus Ireland's overall objectives under the direction of the Head of Youth Services.
Lead and supervise staff teams, promoting development and providing regular supervision.
Implement and review project and agency policies (e.g., child safeguarding, HR, health & safety).
Manage staff performance in line with best HR practices and legal requirements.
Support service development and flexibility in response to changing needs.
Oversee financial systems and contribute to annual budgeting.
Coordinate referrals and case manager allocations for the YCM service.
Manage day service operations, including rotas and record-keeping.
Collaborate with external agencies and funding bodies.
Engage in supervision, training, and attend relevant meetings.
Prepare monthly reports and contribute to project reviews and evaluations.
Participate in and help develop the On-Call service.
What you will need:
Degree in Social Care, Youth Work or related discipline
Extensive experience working with young people at risk including Case Management
Minimum of 3 years relevant management experience
Report writing skills
Knowledge and experience of financial management and budgeting
Experience of interagency working and in particular liaising with funding agencies
Working knowledge of Family Natural Supports (Desirable)
Supervision training (Desirable)
Working knowledge and understanding of issues affecting young people and youth homelessness
Ability to plan and implement programmes
Leadership skills
Communication skills
