Supplier Quality Professional Role
The role of a Supplier Quality Professional involves ensuring that suppliers meet the required quality standards. This includes developing and implementing processes to ensure compliance, managing supplier relationships, and conducting regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop world-class supply chain processes suitable for low volume, high complexity multi-technology environments.
3. Issue Supplier Corrective Action Reports and work with suppliers on Root Cause Investigations and Corrective action.
4. Conduct Supplier Performance Reviews and report on Key Supplier Quality metrics.
5. Support technology transfer initiatives and new projects.
6. Assess and select new suppliers as applicable.
7. Provide day-to-day inspection expertise support to the Purchased Material Inspection Department (PMI) in the areas of Component and Mechatronic Inspection and act as a technical reference to interface with the supplier.
8. Contribute to the continuous development of the quality system, including standard operating procedures (SOP's), and write concise technical reports.
9. Support a Strong Supplier focus to ensure that our requirements are met appropriately and oversee relevant KPIs for supplier quality oversight.
10. Internally support the demands of the instrument and spares supply manufacturing operation.
11. Work with external functional quality and supplier management groups within Siemens.
12. Utilize and develop digitalization tools to identify areas for improvement and streamline Quality reports.
