Job Title: Assistant Manager - Retail & Customer Service
Location: Tramore, Co. Waterford
Salary: €40,000 -50,000 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 45 hours/week, 5 days out of 7 (including approx. 1 weekend/month)
Shifts: Mostly daytime - 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, 12pm-9pm
About the Role
We're currently hiring for an Assistant Manager to join a well-established, fast-paced retail gaming environment in Tramore. You'll be joining a team that is part of a broader tech and product-driven company operating multiple brands within the Irish gaming sector.
In this role, you'll support the Club Manager with daily operations, lead a small on-the-ground team, and deliver excellent customer service. While industry experience is not required, this role is ideal for candidates coming from a strong retail or hospitality background-such as Assistant Managers from supermarkets, discount retailers, phone stores, or hotels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the venue
2. Deliver 5-star customer service and ensure customer queries are handled professionally
3. Promote clear and consistent communication between team and management
4. Recruit, motivate, and retain team members
5. Embrace new initiatives and contribute to operational improvements
6. Handle basic club administration and ensure policy compliance
7. Drive customer satisfaction while ensuring responsible engagement with services
What You'll Need
8. Minimum 2 years' experience in an Assistant Manager role (retail or hospitality)
9. Strong organisational and planning skills
10. Excellent communication (verbal and written)
11. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and quick to learn in-house systems
12. Ability to coach and support team members on the job
13. Calm, professional approach to challenges or customer concerns
14. Flexible, team-focused attitude with a hands-on approach
