About the Role
As a Senior Civil Technician, you will be responsible for developing your technical skills while managing and overseeing projects. You will work on preparing civil infrastructure drawings, site development plans, transportation infrastructure, public health infrastructure, and other related tasks. Your role will involve working closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of project drawings, reporting any issues or concerns. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior technicians and guiding them in their work.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of 2D Drawings and 3D Model Designs
* Site inspections and attending Design Team meetings to discuss project progress.
* Carrying out risk assessments, health & safety planning, and ensuring adherence to ISO procedures.
* Effective communication with colleagues, team members, contractors, and clients through written and verbal interactions.
* Mentoring junior technicians, training, and developing staff skills.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCad 2D & AutoDesk Civil 3D is essential.
* Leadership skills to plan, manage, and direct resources required to solve complex problems in multidisciplinary teams.
* Commercial understanding and application.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
