This is a permanent position for the night shift:

* Monday to Thursday: 23:00 pm - 7:00 am

* Fridays: 21:00 pm - 4:00 am

Location: Dublin 15, Blanchardstown

Position Summary:

* This role requires a good working knowledge of all processes of Materials and Inventory Control and will work in a leadership role supporting the Inventory Control Supervisor.
* This role requires the ability to lead the daily operations as defined in the inventory control procedures.

Key Responsibilities and End Results:

* To supervise Evening Shift to ensure all site Safety, Security, Quality, Productivity and Waste management objectives, policies and procedures are met.
* Participates at daily meetings and ensures detailed communication across shifts, priorities, ongoing issues, and any potential request for support.
* Assist in monitoring performance of the Material Handling Evening Shift and assurance of optimum performance. To achieve this, utilize existing procedures, or offer suggestions/ideas to develop and implement revisions or new procedures as deemed necessary.
* Leads and motivates a team of people to succeed by utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives, defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction.
* Highlight performance and training issues as appropriate to maximize performance of all employees while ensuring cross training and flexibility of staff to support these changes in production priorities especially during peak periods.
* Maintain timekeeping and records on TMS in a timely manner for payroll purposes.
* Assist in drive for shortest processing time possible on all received material and continually improve the processing time performance.
* Assure that all tools, equipment, and visual aids necessary for efficient and accurate completion of pertinent tasks are in proper working order and of the latest revision.
* Provide frequent and accurate feedback to the Inventory Control Supervisor and Materials Manager to assist with problem solving associated with schedules, equipment, documentation.
* Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
* Interface with all Line Leads and Lead Prod Operators, support functions, engineering, program management, and other pertinent functions within the Site operations.
* Ensures accuracy of record keeping of documents pertaining to shipping, receiving and materials.
* Verifying aging of material in receiving & shipping locations and ensure accuracy of these materials.
* Ensure that the production line receives the correct parts for manufacturing.
* Ensure all material is stocked promptly and accurately.
* Supports continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities as required.
* Implements and sustain 5S activities and standards.
* Eliminate errors that can impact performance against quality, budget and efficiency of department.
* Identify performance issues and strengths for team members to Inventory Control Supervisor.
* Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by Inventory Control Supervisor.
* Responsible for monitoring all material transactions for assigned area.
* Assist with cycle count / P.I as required.
* Lead by example, ensuring safe work practices are always maintained in line with company policies.
* May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
* Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines.
* A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.

Job Specifications: The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently

Essential criteria

* Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent is required. May substitute relevant experience in lieu of educational requirements.
* Previous experience in Inventory Control / Supply Chain.
* 2-3 years in a supervisory / people management role.
* Good understanding of company processes, and procedures,
* Good PC skills is essential.
* Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and third parties.
* Intermediate Excel skills is required.
* Minimum 12 months Jabil experience is required for internal applicants.

Desired criteria

* Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
